Shopify Developer (Contract)

We’re looking for an experienced Shopify Developer to support ongoing Shopify Plus and eCommerce client projects ranging from 20–40 hours per week.

This role is ideal for someone comfortable working across Shopify theme development, custom functionality, product architecture, and responsive front-end implementation within a fast-moving agency environment.

Responsibilities

  • Build and customize Shopify themes and sections

  • Implement responsive UI from Figma designs

  • Develop custom Shopify functionality and integrations

  • Support product architecture, metafields, and scalable storefront logic

  • Collaborate closely with PMs, designers, and developers

  • Participate in QA, troubleshooting, and deployment workflows

Requirements

  • Strong experience with Shopify Plus, Liquid, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and responsive development

  • Comfortable with Shopify metafields, metaobjects, product architecture, and app integrations

  • Experience with GitHub workflows and structured deployment processes

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

  • Comfortable working in collaborative, client-facing environments

Nice to Have

  • Experience with multi-store Shopify environments

  • Shopify Functions or checkout extensibility experience

  • Experience with performance optimization and Core Web Vitals

Availability & Location

  • Projects typically range from 20–40 hours per week

  • Preferred locations: Canada or USA (EST timezone)

  • Open to other locations if overlap with EST working hours is possible
